Windermere Wallop Success
Burns Retains The Cup
Congratulations to Gill, Julie, Dave and Sarah for narrowly winning the Wallop at Windermere Golf Club on Monday 6th May. The closely fought affair saw 10 intrepid golfers, including an ex-club Captain, battle all elements on the day including a hail storm. Cheered off the 1st tee by Tee Totaler supporters, all golfers were encouraged to hear that there were no bunkers...only quarries! Even the wildlife wasn't safe as teams battled against each other in an effort to lift the trophy.
A truly stunning course challenged all on the day. There were some outstanding shots played especially the putting on the 15th. Additional congratulations to Dave who won ‘nearest the hole’ on the 2nd and Catherine on the 10th.
To all who supported the Tee Totalers for this event over £600 has been raised for CancerCare which is far beyond what we expected. On behalf of us happy hackers, thank you. Your generosity does help and shows local charities that we care about them and salute their tireless support to the community in need
PS Gill ‘Burnsie’ Burns is on for a hat trick!
On behalf of all Tee Totalers who stayed at Broadoaks this bank holiday, a massive thank you to all the staff who looked after us and made us feel incredibly welcome. From front of house to the gardens beyond this beautiful hotel is a credit to you all. The food was as amazing as ever and we all loved the biscuit selection in our packed lunches...who doesn’t love a Blue Riband?? Our heartfelt thanks to Tracey and Jo for sponsoring the event.
On behalf of the Tee Totalers, heartfelt thanks to all at Windermere Golf Club who made us feel incredibly welcome for our recent charity event. Special thanks to Martin and Cathy for all your help. Even though we appeared to have 4 seasons in one day, that didn’t deter us from having the most amazing time. The course is truly stunning and all agreed we’d like to return very soon.
