TEE TOTALERS CHARITIES

Tee Totaler events aim to raise money for a chosen local charity. We want to make a difference,  no matter how big or small, in recognition of their tireless work in the very heart of our communities.

Wooden Spoon

The Wooden Spoon is a phenomenal charity that harnesses the power of rugby to transform the lives of children and young people with disabilities across the UK and Ireland. From creating state-of-the-art learning facilities to magical playgrounds, every penny raised helps bring joy and opportunity to those in need.

Our very own Sarah Atherton is taking on the monumental challenge of running the 2024 London Marathon to support Wooden Spoon.

CancerCare

CancerCare is a unique independent charity dedicated to helping families affected by cancer and other life limiting conditions in North Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Delivered by qualified and highly experienced staff, CancerCare’s wide range of free professional therapy services are designed to help individuals and their families come to terms with and manage the challenges of a serious health condition.

With 35 years of experience, CancerCare has helped more than 30,000 local people affected by cancer and other potentially life-limiting conditions. The charity has three dedicated centres based in: Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster.

Tee Totalers will be raising money for CancerCare through the Windermere Wallop event on Monday 6th May 2019.

“Both myself and Joanna Harbottle, owners of Broadoaks, are delighted to be supporting our local CancerCare charity. Sadly we lost a very close friend at the age of only 48 last year and also have some other close friends who are currently battling this terrible disease of our time. Lets win this battle. On behalf of everyone supporting this thank you and we’d like to dedicate this event to the memory of Alexandra Robertson–Jervis.”

" Hargreaves Dementia Trust is a fabulous local charity who work together to enhance the lives of all those living with, or those affected by, dementia. My lovely Dad enjoyed being part of the group and Mum and I continue to be supported by them. I have now become a volunteer myself to help provide the much needed support for others". Gill Burns

The Hargreaves Dementia Trust is run by a group of local people, all of whom have experience of caring for those with dementia.

  • Raising awareness and training for those working in the direct care of people with dementia and their Carer

  • Working alongside existing services to enhance the quality of life and experience of those living with dementia in St Helens.
